We had tons of candy bags left over from our wedding, so I thought I could put them to use for Halloween! I lined them up on the porch railing, I really love the repetition of all the bags.
Hereās the pumpkin I ordered for our wedding. Itās been sitting in our living room since then, but I had to break it out on the porch for all to see I learned it is quite difficult to take a good picture of a glowing pumpkinā¦. grrrr!
Gus needed to see what all the excitement was about outside!
And finally, Sunday I made two separate trips to IKEAā¦. the first trip I wanted some of those cool storage boxes they sell- you know the orange and green ones? Yeah those, well, I bought some, and new sheets and a new duvet and, and, andā¦. yeah well, I got a little out of control. BUT, I always browse through the āAs-Isā section by the checkoutā¦. and there it wasā¦. the perfect armchair for our office!!! I called Jeremy, and emailed him a picture of it. I was purchasing an armchair! Then I spent the next 5 minuets in the checkout line praying āJesus, please let this chair fit in the Honda!! Pretty, pretty please!!!ā Well, the lovely āas-isā guy informed me that if it didnāt fit I could return it. So I took my chances. Well, If you know anything about IKEA furniture, is that it is slip covered. You have to buy them separate. I was in NO mood to go hunt through God-only-knows how many square feet to find them. Of course then I got home, and was irritated my new chair had no cover. I went back to IKEA. All three of our animals have each adopted the chair as their own, while the other two werenāt looking. Wow, all that for thisā¦.. Hereās Lucy camped out in the new chair last nightā¦.
Itās not the best photo, but it was the only one where she was almost not fuzzy. Again, if Iād had that darn flashā¦ this wouldnāt be an issue!
