Product | RedTree Albums

I’m interrupting Susie & Andrew’s wedding posts to share this…. I have a new album provider!!!! After hearing some raves about RedTree and seeing photos of samples, I knew I needed to give them a try. I am SO glad I did, I think my clients are going to love them as much as I do. They come in 3 cover options, fabric, leather & photo. My sample is in a khaki, linen. So simple, so beautiful, so timeless. The large album is a 10×10 with 15 spreads (30 pages)The small album is a 5×5 replica of the large one. One of my favorite features RedTree offers is name debossing. I had Hunter & Jessica’s name added to center. Want to see more samples and cover options? Visit their website & blog!

Wedding | Susie & Andrew Part I

Jeremy & I had the opportunity to photograph Susie & Andrew’s big day at the Charlotte City Club a few weeks ago, it was awesome! Before I moved to Charlotte, my Dad & I took the Amtrak from Durham to Charlotte. We spent the day walking around uptown, lunching, and bribing the Panthers gift store employees to let us in the stadium 🙂 While walking around, my dad and I were looking for a place to have lunch. He spotted a beautiful white marble lobby, and wanted to ride up to the top for a view of the city. We got to the top & the lovely people at the desk told us that it was a private club for members only. Dad was disappointed he didn’t get to see a view of the city, down we went. Little did I know that just 3.5 years later, I’d be photographing a wedding there, taking in the beautiful city views and eating the club food 🙂 I started my day at the Center City Marriott, where the girls were getting all done up by Kymm & Mandi of Who’s The Fairest in one of the suites. Susie got all of her ladies Kate Spades! Don’t you wish you were a bridesmaid in her wedding!?!? Before we headed over to the City Club, the girls had a quick champagne toast, with festive solo cups. Susie donned beautiful, apple green Kate Spades….. and one very lucky flower girl wore orange Tory Burch flats (safe to say I lusted over both pairs!) After Susie was dressed, a special gift from Andrew was delivered….. Hello David Yurman! While I was busy with Susie…. Jeremy got to hang out with the boys 🙂 The guests were arriving…. and then it was time! Married! ….. stay tuned for part 2!

Engagement | Shannon & Tommy

Shannon & Tommy were the first couple I met with in my new office. I tidied the office & waited patiently for them to arrive. They were so sweet, asked great questions, took a copy of my contract and left. I crossed my fingers and toes I’d hear from them soon….. I did! Tommy called to let me know they were ready to book. Yay! A few weeks later Shannon was ready to their engagement photos, I asked if they had any spots in mind that were special to them… she had a great suggestion, Cannon Village in Kannapolis. It’s a great little row of antique stores, shops and restaurants with wonderful character. We started out at the old 1 screen theater. I just LOVED their outfits. This is a perfect example of how you coordinate without being “matchy matchy” One of my favorite places to shoot are parking decks. They provide a great neutral backdrop, while bouncing the sunlight off the pavement. We made our way back around to the theater for a few last shots before the looming storm rolled in and before it got dark. Thanks so much Shannon & Tommy for being great sports, and for suggesting a great spot to shoot! Your June wedding will be here before we know it!
