I’ve been DYING to share a few of Dana’s boudoir photos! She originally did them as a birthday present for him to be given to him later this year…. but when he surprised her with a proposal & beautiful engagement ring on vacation in Florida, she decided to make it an engagement present! She gave him his album of images, so I finally get to share a few! We shot them in their beautiful home in Charlotte. I’d been dying to do a hot kitchen scene & she was nice enough to play along…. yes…. she went all out for a pair of Louboutins! Interested in a boudoir shoot??? Email me for details 🙂 I’m planning a weekend in November to host 4 girls in Charlotte!

Before I get into posting some of the latest shoots…. I wanted to share another office update…. I got the solid white rug I mentioned a while back from Ikea (remember, plans to paint it with gray stripes?). Well a day or two later Dina from Honey & Fitz posted the Dwell Studio one I’d been wanting (and it was on sale, $80 off!) on her FB page, so I snatched it up. It’s currently living in the office, but I am still a little unsure about it. The “cream” stripes are nearly beige…. and look dirty next to the white sofa legs and I am sure will look equally as bad next to the chairs that are currently being upholstered in white duck. So… I may go back to the white/gray stripe after all & move the Dwell rug to our guest room…. who knows. ** remember this sofa will eventually be khaki** Before leaving last weekend I managed to get my desk painted…. I needed a serious break from that wingback…. It still needs another coat and polyurethane, but I am really pleased with how bright it makes my office! Note… the backrest piece of the wingback isn’t actually attached in this photo… I just slung the old piece I”d removed to make it appear somewhat put together… MacBook Pro is just for looks…. my big desktop is there now In a rush, I got my curtains 1/2 way done…. meaning I cut the fabric in 4 panels & sewed a pocket for the curtain rod…. I need to go back and actually line them & sew the other 3 edges….. I also found drum shades at Homegoods for my $4 Goodwill lamps for $15 each…. making those awesome lamps just under $20 each! I’m still debating painting the lamp bases… but for now I’m leaving them as is… My awesome new sign arrived while I was away…. it’s so nice!!! It will hang outside my door (hopefully tonight!) So… things still to be done…. 1. Reupholster the sofa.2. Attach mantle to the wall.3. Hang sign outside (should tonight!)4. Get mat cut for framed logo to go over my desk.5. Find end table for sofa that will house the printer & cables & hold 2nd lamp.6. Figure out rug situation.7. Hang hooks for our bags & a chalkboard behind the door.8. Finish curtains. 9. Replace door with something glass.
