Family | Laguerre

Tis the season for family photo…! The weather is cooler, the trees are nearly neon colors and the holidays are right around the corner! I’ve got a pretty packed schedule (5 more sessions this weekend!?!)  but I’ve got a little availability left if you’re still looking for photos before Christmas cards go out 😉 Last year I met the Laguerre family for photos, and got to go back again this year. It was wonderful to see their girls and how much they’ve grown! I hope your dual birthday parties were a blast last weekend, and Tara & Patrick… I hope you survived since the weather forced everything inside! Family | Riggs at Kure Beach

Over Labor Day weekend I had the opportunity to see the sunrise with this family (my sister-in-law, and her crew!) We got out there a little early, but we all patiently waited for the sun to rise over the water. I love shooting at the Kure Beach pier at sunrise, especially on a holiday weekend. Shooting at this spot for sunset photos would have yielded a beach still full of sunbathers.

Family | Wardrobe

I love to piece together ideas for family shoots, I shared one a few weeks ago and thought I would do another one. Perhaps it will give some ideas to those of you planning to take advantage of our mini sessions 🙂 So many times we think orange, brown, ivory, etc. when it comes to fall wardrobes…. that’s not a must! Think about the colors that might go with the scene. This look would be awesome on an empty beach in the fall. I still have some mini sessions available at Ft. Fisher on November 1st! Mom (all Talbots & on sale): Sweater (on major sale, I just bought it and LOVE it), shoes, shirt, pants Dad (all Vineyard Vines): Sweater, Pants, Shirt Girls: All Janie & Jack Boys: Vineyard Vines shirt & pants, Janie & Jack shoes
