Portraits | Fall Mini Sessions!

This year I’ve decided to offer fall mini sessions again, and I’m releasing the dates early! I’m only offering 4 slots in each town, so get yours booked! Raleigh: October 26 Ft. Fisher: November 1 Charlotte: November 9 The session is $150 and can be used for families (up to 5 people), engagements, kids, maternity or bridals! Family | Wardrobe

It’s always a common question…. “What should we wear?” Yesterday I stopped in JCrew Factory to pick up a gift, and started to notice several items that would look great together in a family session. A great general rule when looking for outfits is to start with one patterned/multicolored piece (with jewel tones) and build from there. JCrew is really great at putting out collections that cover the entire family…. you can easily walk in & out with coordinating outfits. Below I started with the girls pineapple top and used those colors for everyone else’s look. All these items are currently available on JCrew’s Factory website, but I know the pineapple top & green dress were both cheaper in store. I’m now booking fall family sessions…. great for that Christmas-card-worthy-photo! *I have 4 nieces, so I just did sisters instead of boys… but this shirt, with this vest & these jeans would be an adorable addition!

Aruba | Sessions

Welp…. the dates are set!!! We are traveling to Aruba for a little R&R and to celebrate our 5 year anniversary (cannot believe it’s been nearly 5 years since our wedding!) We will be arriving in Aruba on 9/30, and departing 10/4…. so that means on Wednesday, Thursday or Friday of that week I’m available for sessions. Perhaps your hopping a plane to tie the knot, honeymoon or just go on vacation too! I’d love to capture some portraits of you and yours in tropical paradise!

Portrait | Beach

Hi All! Hope you’re tolerating the rain well today. At least it’s warm! ….dreading tomorrow. I know many people are already planning their summer vacations so if you’re headed near Pleasure Island this year, consider having a portrait session done! Pleasure Island (Carolina Beach, Kure Beach, Ft. Fisher) is easily accessible from Southport & Wilmington…. and even just an easy drive down from the Triangle area for the day. While I do not take weddings on holiday weekends, I will take the occasional portrait session! I’ve released a few dates that I know I will be available for sessions. These can be used for bridals, engagements, or family sessions. These sessions can be shot at sunrise or sunset, but honestly- I’d rather do them at sunrise. The beaches are empty and the temperatures are much cooler (and you avoid the common summer thunderstorm!). Kristin & Jonathan did theirs at sunrise last summer… it was breezy and perfect!
