Ag Forum + Grange

If you don’t know, I work full time for the NC State Grange. We are a nonprofit, community service organization for all ages. We were started after the Civil War to help farmers with destroyed land, to have a voice in the legislature. Since then, we’ve evolved into a much more complex organization, offering so much more!Yesterday we sponsored the Ag Development Forum at the NC State Fairgrounds. Many Agriculture Economist & Professionals were there to serve on a panel, to discuss various issues agriculture is currently facing. This was my first time using a 70-200mm lens…. and wow… it’s a MONSTER! It’s long, heavy and can be very hard to focus. I am thinking I will try and rent the Nikon vibration reduction version before- or if we decide to purchase one.Anyway…here’s a few of the photos! National Grange President, Ed Lutrell makes opening remarks Commissioner of Agriculture, Steve Troxler, talkes with National Grange President, Ed Lutrell, National Grange Legislative Director, Leroy Watson, and NC Grange President, Jimmy Gentry Allison Fowler, NC Grange Legislative Director and NC Co-Op President Jennie Gentry pose with “Flat Stanley” Leroy Watson prepares to answer questions
