This year I had the privilege to be in not one, but two weddings! My dear friend Liz married Kevin in August, on what many of us feared would be a hotter than hell day (and an all outdoor day!)…. luck would have it that the temps never made it much above 60 that day, and we found ourselves in sweaters avoiding the rain. I took along our Minolta 35mm and grabbed a few shots during the weekend, but mainly enjoyed being one of the girls. Venue: Belmont Estate in Reidsville, NC

Over the last few weeks I’ve noticed some bridal shower photos popping up on Facebook…. and with Fall turning into the new “June” for brides…. lots of us are picking up shower/wedding gifts right now. (and let’s face it, many of us have already started Christmas shopping… coughcough… #ImAlmostDone #DontHateMe ) Joss and Main has quickly become one of my favorite sites to browse for quality items at a great deal. I thought the basket was a great muti-functional piece (go on a picnic or hide clutter!), that pitcher is stunning, it would light up anyone’s dinner party, that storage jar? just a great idea for those of us with tiny kitchens!! that boxwood wreath would be oh-so-pretty on my your recipients front door, and that blanket just says cuddle up and watch a movie with me!
