Wedding | Katie & Philip Part I

After a late evening at Laura & Nathan’s wedding in Charlotte, we were up before the sun to shoot Katie & Philip’s wedding at the Sutherland in Wake Forest! We arrived just as Katie was starting hair & makeup & Philip was getting him & his son, Cayden ready. I must have a thing for bouquets and rocking chairs…. this makes the 4th time I’ve done it! Love this shot Jeremy grabbed just of Philip & Cayden’s matching shoes 🙂 The ONLY request Katie made regarding photography was to get a shot of her upstairs while Philip was downstairs before the ceremony… they did so well, and didn’t peek! The shot on the right is for Cayden… he broke out into full on dancing after their kiss 🙂

Featured | Creative Loafing

A while back Kim Lawson contacted me about featuring me and my new office in the new Style/Creative Living section of the Creative Loafing weekly publication. I was SO excited about this opportunity! She interviewed me back in July and I had photos taken by the lovely Ashley Goodwin. We weren’t sure when it would come out, but thought maybe early or mid August. Last Wednesday I saw a wrack of new CL and stopped to grab one…. I flipped though it as I drove home to see if it made the issue…. flip…. flip…. flip…. flip…. OMG……… I made it to the middle… and there it was an ENTIRE page!!!! I got an entire page!!!!! Thank you to Kim for writing a really awesome article about having a “girl cave” . I loved the spin on the article 🙂 So…. if you want, come on by and see the “girl cave”. Wedding | Laura & Nathan Part II

Alright…. on to part II of Laura & Nathan’s Charlotte wedding! We all jumped in the limo and rode from Myers Park UMC to uptown Charlotte. Laura really wanted photos of them & their wedding party at Trade & Tryon, so we made a quick pitstop on the way to their reception at A Roof with a View. I’m SO glad we made this stop & got these photos…. Brides… if you want something like this, do it! It’s your day and your reception won’t start without you! Wedding | Laura & Nathan Part I

Remember Laura? She married Nathan in the beautiful Myers Park United Methodist Church on a HOTHOTHOTHOT July day. Thank you Jesus for air conditioning that day.
