Product: Simply Canvas!

When deciding to offer canvases I weighed out the different vendors….. on a spreadsheet of course! In the end of a tough battle Simply Canvas won, and I couldn’t be happier! I’ve always heard fabulous things about them, and thrilled that they are now my supplier. After 2nd shooting a wedding a few weeks ago, I decided that one of their images would make a great sample canvas… so I got to ordering! On Monday it arrived, and it’s so pretty! It’s sprayed with a special UV protectant to prevent fading & cracking. They come in a huge selection of sizes, this one is a 16×24. Here are a few images of it. 1.5″ thick. It comes pre-wired, ready to hang! Image from Kasey & Andrew’s Kinston, NC wedding, shot for Renee Sprink.

A First…..

Yesterday I did something I’d never done before. I voted. Before being involved in an agriculture, politically minded organization, and before being a property owner, and before being a small business owner…. I didn’t care AT. ALL. about politics. I pass my voting place going to and from work each day- just as normal, I passed it yesterday morning. It had a healthy handful of cars in the parking lot, so I drove on to work. I decided I’d come back on my way home. I did, and ended up waiting over 30 minuets. But it was well worth it. It was nice to know that I was an equal in that line. My vote mattered just as much as everyone elses. I can say I don’t regret voting in the last few elections. I wasn’t educated on the issues, & I would have made uninformed decisions. I also was too transient to make decisions about an area I would just be leaving soon- Greensboro while in college & Wilmington after college. Now that I am settled, I feel like I need to give my opinion. I made Jeremy take a photo of my sticker 🙂 I hope you all made informed decisions yesterday!

The NC State Fair: The Barber Family

It’s no secret that I love the State Fair. I remember a few times when I was younger getting out of school early to go to the fair with my parents, but I wasn’t lucky enough to have a sibling close enough to my age to share riding the fast & crazy rides with, like these girls! We started off with the smaller set of swings….. Then it was off to ride the ferris wheel…. we were a little worried the girls would throw a fit, and not want to ride. Thankfully, they were excited! Jeremy’s view from the ground…. Then it was off to the hot air balloons…. this is one of my favorites! Then off to the big swings… along with the ferris wheel, it was another first for Olivia! Jeremy’s view from the ground Olivia decided she wanted to do the hampster ball, and we weren’t sure these would photograph well, but I kinda like them 🙂 The Tilt-A-Whirl photos are probably my favorite from the session….. I love that these girls managed to picked out the two side by side horses that match their outfits…..  We had a great time, and hope we have more shoots like this next year!!!
