Ag Forum + Grange

If you don’t know, I work full time for the NC State Grange. We are a nonprofit, community service organization for all ages. We were started after the Civil War to help farmers with destroyed land, to have a voice in the legislature. Since then, we’ve evolved into a much more complex organization, offering so much more!Yesterday we sponsored the Ag Development Forum at the NC State Fairgrounds. Many Agriculture Economist & Professionals were there to serve on a panel, to discuss various issues agriculture is currently facing. This was my first time using a 70-200mm lens…. and wow… it’s a MONSTER! It’s long, heavy and can be very hard to focus. I am thinking I will try and rent the Nikon vibration reduction version before- or if we decide to purchase one.Anyway…here’s a few of the photos! National Grange President, Ed Lutrell makes opening remarks Commissioner of Agriculture, Steve Troxler, talkes with National Grange President, Ed Lutrell, National Grange Legislative Director, Leroy Watson, and NC Grange President, Jimmy Gentry Allison Fowler, NC Grange Legislative Director and NC Co-Op President Jennie Gentry pose with “Flat Stanley” Leroy Watson prepares to answer questions

Adorable Equipment!

How freaking cute is this camera!?!?!? Since Polaroid stopped manufacturing…. well, “Polaroids” (instant film)…. I’ve been a little sad 🙁 I remember being so envious of all those people who had those cameras when I was a kid…. but now…. Fujifilm has one out! How much fun would this be to have in a “photobooth” at a wedding or event, for your guests to use, and maybe leave in a photo guest book? Or to keep as a memento of the event? Mmmmmm… I might just have to get me one of these!

That Cute Carson + A Cute Product!

I am so excited to show you all my first album sample! It’s a super cute little book (6″x8″… it also comes in 8.5″x11″). It has a hard, glossy cover and spine, with thick magazine style pages inside! They come with 20 pages included, but you can add up to 160. They are an affordable way to display your favorite photos. They also make great gifts 🙂 The front, spine, and back can all be different photos or colors, but I thought the black looked the best with the photo I chose for the cover… I love how his little face and hands just blend right into the book!
