OBX

I got my film back from our mini vacation at Carolina Beach for the 4th of July and my mini road trip down the Outer Banks a week later. At the begining of the year I vowed that I would one and for all see Cape Hatteras this summer… to be honest, I’m embarrassed I’ve never been. So.. I spent the 2nd-6th at Carolina Beach, ventured to my day job summer camp in Columbia, NC (north-east, NC) and then decided I would drive back down via the Outer Banks to Carolina Beach again for the weekend. I knew it would be a long haul (9 hours instead of 3.5), but worth it. I will say driving Hwy 12 was surreal, beautiful, and nerve wracking. To be alone, on an island, hours from anyone you know was a little unsettling. I’m very glad I did it, but don’t think I’ll ever do it again, alone! These images are a mix of different locations along these 2 weeks, from Ocean Isle, up through Nags Head, I would LOVE to go back and shoot weddings in these places!! Prints of these images may be ordered here. *Special pricing!

Portrait | Beach Vacation

Last 4th of July I had the honor of photographing Kristin & Jonathan’s engagement session at sunrise on Kure Beach & Ft. Fisher. It couldn’t have been more perfect weather, and nearly empty beaches make for much less awkward photos! We’ll be back at the coast next week (late Tuesday-early Sunday) and have a few spots available for portrait sessions. These can be used for that coveted family photo that seems so hard to get because not everyone is together, a maternity session, a bridal session (hello beautiful dress!) or of course, an engagement session, like Kristin & Jonathan did. Contact me to book your session online!  …….. …… ps…. mention you saw this in your email to me, and you’ll get 20% off your session!!!!

Wedding | Millstone 4-H Center

On Monday I traveled out to Millstone 4-H Center for a donation drop-off for my day job. I’ve been to many of the 4-H centers in NC, but never Millstone. It was a sweet, quaint facility with loads of charm. I’d love to have a bride & groom tie the knot out there! They have a small lake with a floating dock that spans the width of the water and a suspension bridge! Hello, beautiful photos! *This would also be great for bridals or engagements*
