Once upon a time, when I was in high school photography (and college for that matter) I was taught flashes= evil, the devil, wrong, ect….. the list could go on and on and on…. Well, the last four posts on here that I’ve done have used no flash. I thought outside, daylight = no flash…. wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong, wrong….. wow, wrong. All I can say is I am learning. I am green. I am getting more and more lessons taught to me each day. This last week, I spent, for work, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. I flew home last night and am somehow keeping my eyes open here at my desk…. I took lots of pictures- most all of them using my Nikon SB-600. I had thought something was wrong with it originally- but I’m pretty sure it’s ok, the batteries were just dying…. oops! (note to self- when the speedlight screen flickers and acts funny- the batteries are most likely dying!) Anywho… here’s a few (straight out of the camera) photos…. because editing was not on my list of things to do last night…… hanging out with my husband and eating Cheerio’s was. (no flash) my boss and his wife at the dance some of our NC members at the dance NC members after the banquet Mr. and Mrs. Fryman at the dance Courtney, our NC talent winner Taryn Wevil, one of the NC Junior Grangers enjoying the 1928 carousel at the Van Andel Museum

We got up super early to head to Raleigh for the NCSU football game. I didn’t take too many pictures, but I really like the color in this one…. particularly, all the RED 🙂 Then Sunday we went to watch the Panthers play the Falcons! I am a fan of both teams, but since I pulled for ATL last time (and they won,) I thought I’d trade off this time and pull for the Panthers (and they won!) You can’t tell me these two pictures aren’t cool!

I was referred to Ashley’s family through Cat. I went over to their beautiful home yesterday to take some pictures of their 10 month old little boy, Max, and dad’s babies…. Rusty and Libby, the labs 🙂 Meet Max. and Max’s puppies A beautiful family….. and two squirmy dogs! This car (it’s a model A, I think Ashley said) has been passed through generations of her husbands family, one day it will be Max’s car 🙂 Got to love a good action shot! Thank you Falls family for letting me capture a few moments!
