In an effort to offer unique wedding gifts, I think I’ll continue on with posting goodies I find (or give!). A few weeks ago, I posted about practical wedding gifts and today I’ll share a few for the avid coffee-drinker-couple. Last week I went on a quest to find Karen a wedding gift, something cute and useful. I’ve given them their “big” gift (their wedding album), but wanted them to have something surprising to open when they arrived at our house for Memorial Day weekend. I’d seen super cute dish towels at Anthropologie a while back and thought it would be the perfect little-something. While in there, I thought their monogrammed mugs would be great too since they are die-hard-drink-coffee-all-day kind of folks…. so I picked up a K & P mug for them. This morning while contemplating what to blog about, I thought you could really run with these things and make great gift out of more coffee related items. How about a bag of coffee, some cute cream and sugar containers to go along with their monogrammed mugs! It’s safe to say these are gifts that will get used! Have you picked up a non-registry gift item lately? With wedding season in full swing, I’m sure we don’t want to buy the same gifts each time.

Families can be tedious to dress for photographs, whether it’s your immediate family or a giant extended family photo. Here are a few of my tips to getting your crew in good-looking, coordinated duds! 1. Start with one piece that has multiple colors, my suggestion is a piece of kid clothing…. a girls dress, or boy’s shirt are great starting points. I made a quick run through the Old Navy website and pieced these items together for a cohesive family look. Both times, I started with the girls look first…. on the left it was the purple and blue romper, and on the right it was the stripe dress. All clothing items are from Old Navy Left/Right Girls Romper/Girls Dress, Women’s Dress/Women’s Dress, Women’s Cardigan, Men’s Shirt/Men’s Shirt, Men’s Jeans/Men’s Khakis, Boy’s Shirt/Boy’s Shirt, Boy’s Shorts Looking for even more inspiration? Hint…. the grandparents bought all the granddaughters dresses, first! Interested in a family session, contact me!
